Brett grew up in Central Florida, where he attended Lake Brantley High School. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics at Rollins College as well as his MBA from the Rollins Crummer Graduate School of Business.

Brett began his surety career in the Orlando branch of the Travelers Insurance Company. He endured several insurance company mergers over the years before landing at CNA Surety where he ascended to the position of Vice President and Branch Manager. As Vice President and Branch Manager at CNA Surety, Brett managed one of the largest and most profitable branches within CNA’s network of over 40 branches.

Brett shifted to the agency side of the business in 2002 where he finally had the opportunity to work even closer with his customers. Brett and his wife Lisa have two sons (Tyler & Tanner) and live in Oviedo.
