Tripp was born and raised in Orlando, Florida, and graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. After several years in the marketing communications field, he furthered his development by returning to school and earning his MBA from Georgia State University in 2007. He is also a graduate of the William J. Angell Surety School and has obtained the CRIS (Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist) designation. Tripp began his insurance career with State Farm Insurance as a Multiple Lines Representative in downtown Atlanta, Georgia.

Prior to joining Johnson and Company in 2010, Tripp was an Account Executive at MAG Mutual Insurance Company based in Atlanta, Georgia. In that role, he was responsible for new business production and managing association relationships across multiple states throughout the Southeast region. His experience across both agency and carrier environments has shaped his practical, relationship-driven approach to client service.

Today, Tripp and his wife Kristen reside in Maitland, Florida with their two children and remain active members of the community.
